The boys team fought hard also Monday night but lost to Batesburg-Leesville by 2 points, 50-48.

“The final score of tonight’s game doesn’t truly reflect the outcome of this game in my mind. Our kids battled the entire game versus a much taller BLMS boys’ basketball team and played very solid fundamental basketball,” said Zeb Reid. “I am very proud of our boys’ basketball team. It makes me feel good to see our guys slapping high five’s, being where they need to be on the court, and our bench into the game until the last second with guys up off their feet encouraging there teammates. Our boys team fought hard the entire game and left it all on the court. I appreciate the MCMS parents and fans and students who traveled to BLMS to cheer on the Rebels.”

Cade Ruff was the top scorer for the Rebels with 22 points and he also had six steals and four assists and four rebounds.

Jeb Fulmer scored 10 points, Rod Byrd scored six points, Jack Edwards had four points, Kaleb Boland had three points and Myreck Wise scored two points.
