NEWBERRY — Newberry Academy’s desktop publishing class sponsored a fall carnival for students in kindergarten through eighth grade on Oct. 30 on the school’s front lawn. The carnival included many games, including boo bowling, musical tombstones, eyeball races, pin the bow-tie on the skeleton, and others.

Students received tickets for participating in the games and were able to redeem them for candy and prizes; students went home with bags full of treats. Fun was had by all who participated and the desktop publishing class was very excited to see such a great turn-out and participation from the students. The class plans to host more fun-filled events like this in the future.

Andie Getz is a sophomore at Newberry Academy.
