Alewine, Harmon engaged

Together with their families, Clair Michele Alewine and Benjamin Brian Harmon announce their engagement. Clair is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam (Gwen) Alewine of Chapin and the late Elaine Sites Alewine. Benji is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry K. (Lunelle) Harmon of Newberry.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Claude Alewine of Chapin and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Preston Sites of Irmo. She is a graduate of Chapin High School and is currently employed at Core Advisors Ltd. in Chapin.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Luther Ruff of Newberry and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Adam Harmon of Pomaria. He is a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School and Clemson University. He is employed as an Auxiliary Operator with SCE&G at V. C. Summer Nuclear Station in Jenkinsville.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 9, 2013, at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church in Newberry. The ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. with the reception to follow at The Country Club of Newberry. All family and friends are invited to attend. No formal invitations will be sent.
