NEWBERRY — Members of the Newberry Academy student government recently traveled to the S.C. State House for the annual fall conference held Sept. 24. While there, students debated resolutions and contributed ideas for the Headmaster Paper, a collaborative project in which students present ideas for changes to SCISA (South Carolina Independent School Association) schools. T
he students who attended were Amanda Crayne, school president and state secretary; Kaitlyn Nobles, senior class representative; Brianna Kinard, school secretary; and Landen York, school treasurer. The event is a great experience for anyone who is interested in government.
