PROSPERITY — The Lake Murray Association’s Newberry County public meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Oct.15 at Macedonia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Road. A light meal will be served at 6:30 p.m.
Guest speakers will include Sen. Ronnie Cromer, Pastor Randall Derrick of Macedonia Lutheran Church, Jim Landreth of SCE&G, Lt. Ken Simmons of the S.C. Department of Natural Resources, Lt. Mark McColman of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department Marine Patrol, and Lt. Garry Rozier of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Marine Patrol.
Simmons will discuss SCDNR job responsibilities and share some interesting statistics for Lake Murray. McColman, Rozier and Simmons will talk about the marine patrol units and law enforcement on Lake Murray.
Cromer will address the membership with his perspective on Lake Murray and Landreth will be available for questions about the lake and licensing.
Andy Hyman, president of the Lake Murray Association, will introduce the Sea Tow-Lake Murray partnership with Lake Murray Association and explain a member discount program for boaters.
